And he thinks he’s fairly close to angering several trillion dollar a year businesses by coming up with a clean source of power and saving the world from killing each other over oil.

Nuclear fusion being the holy grail of energy generation (currently) would be absolutely fantastic if it actually worked and is self sustaining. It's gonna happen eventually, even if this guy doesn't get it, someone will and it will be awesome. :)
