This is the best book I've read in a while. It's about Dick Conant, who frequently Traveled by canoe for decades, and the author met him on one of his long distance trips.

You're very welcome, let us know if you read it! I found it at the library in Olympia after reading about it in The Hilltop Curmudgeon, so I assume it's somewhat easy to find.
