WXYZ) - Police say one car was shot at, and several other cars possibly hit by a sniper lurking along I-94 between I-69 and Battle Creek.

Other possible hits happened on I-69 south to the Indiana border.

Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Saxton tells RTV6's Detroit sister station 7 Action News, people in Metro Drive who have driven through that area from the end of July through last week may have also been hit and did not know it.

If you've found suspicious damage to your vehicle, contact police.


Also, if you are driving and believe you are shot at, don't stop. The Sheriff says drive to the next exit and call 911 from a public place.

Luckily, nobody has been injured.

This is similar to a case in Metro Detroit in October of 2012 when cars were shot at 23 times in Oakland, Livingston, Shiawassee and Ingham counties.

Raulie Casteel, 44, and a father of four, was convicted of terrorism and would later plead no contest and mentally ill to other charges.

He's doing 18 to 40 years in prison. Authorities on the new case have been in contact with Wixom Police who were the first to handle the I-96 corridor shootings.

That's like saying not all diseases are bad. Police as an institution is a horrible oppressive thing. Cops go into the job knowing that they are ultimately oppressing people.

Is it a coincidence that the powers that be have set up this dog eat dog consumerist culture with gatekeepers to control class division set up in all strata of society?

Starting out poor and uneducated, your being programed by "reality" TV shows and news filtered to steer public fear and opinions. Your led to believe that happiness is some level of super star wealth advancement, all the while consuming food that is designed to make you sick and booze to dull and numb your body mind and soul.

YOu want a place to live...you need a credit score and you need a job with a minimum standard of income to qualify for the mortgage that will sink you into debt slavery. If that's not enough the tax man rakes you for your right to have a shelter and the municipal codes and village enforcers issue citations, tickets and regulate how your "home" must conform to standards out of your control. Want to build a fence get a permit and make sure the color and construction are in community standards... don't cut your lawn you get a citation. Want to rent out a basement room... no can do. This two story is only a two family residence.

Human relationships are regulated by contractual marriages issued by the state.
Freedom of speech and movement is given lip service all the while being curtailed by those already holding the keys.

The quality of Public Education has declined and private for profit institutions proliferate affording opportunity to less people. Even so, a degree only goes so far when you have to deal with the political machinations of a University and favoritism can run rampant in social cliques that are simply out of your reach.
My hands can only grasp so far when the son of a wealthy politically connected aristocratic family is guaranteed a position of "employment" through his families connections that shall never be opportune to me.

I have certainly allowed myself to fall victim to the outside influence. It's a great struggle to raise yourself by your bootstraps when in your first decades of adulthood good honest hard work doesn't always pay off and you run up against brick walls.

These are all pessimistic ruminations. But they are an example of the effects on our thoughts modern society produces.

Optimism is a gift and if you have it hold on to it if you can. Otherwise poison will build up and your soul begins to crack.

I understand what u are saying...fuck the police as an institution. but I do think some people become officers out of wanting to make the world a better and safer place. call me naive, but not all are out to abuse their authority. some really do want to "protect and serve" however misguidedthey are. and behind an arrogant officer with a badge, there Iis still a human being...someone with a family...and I dont advocate killing someone unless its in self defense

Find a country with a decent human rights record and relocate. Say the magic word ''asylum'' at customs.

SO, the clarity in my slide show of existence, filtering away the "Spin" media of those in power is something I generally trust I have. Yet knowing that I may be affected by my own disorders it leads to much second guessing and plain uncertainty.

I do know this though. There is something wrong. The treatment of our liberties and the greatness of this nation I have served are being changed rapidly in some ways and in a direction that leads to a repeat of those powers in past treating people like chattel.

So I am happy about the time I have spent here on STP, it has shown me a spectrum of people that the "John and Jane" suburban Mc'Mansion owner would think as fringe.

But I see kind intelligent people struggling for a better way of life.

Have you seen videos on DHS checkpoints and how people refuse to show "papers" to the authoritarian regime? Have you seen people fight for they're constitutional rights in encounters with LEO.

Yes I rarely watch regular news and tv. I do need to make more effort to consume thought provoking and fantastic information. In my own efforts, my memory is not eidetic and that is where the Internet is the best repository. Though I often have to be pointed in the correct direction or wrack my brain to come up with the topics and subjects of critical concern.

You do a bully job of that voodoo... a well researched topic is crucial to productive discussion.

...I have never forgotten that Oath nor do I intend to. However I think the best way to fulfill its requirements nowadays is from working within the Red Cross, Food Not Bombs, Oxfam, and Amnesty Intl.....Or, just LEAVE.
