We found a dead pit-mix, 30-40lbs, white throat with black-brown fur, no tags but a blue harness, on the tracks last night. He was just W of 33rd & Lombard in NE Portland,OR, probably hit by a train heading W. He could have been an area dog, but I know a lot of riders pass through that spot so I thought I'd post it. Please be CAREFUL with the animals you keep; they depend on you to keep them safe.
If this was your dog or could be someone you know, it looked like the dog died on impact and so probably did not suffer much after being hit. RIP
