Photos Pirat Raft Trip to a Pirate Harbour (abandoned Military Harbour)

Hey guys a few months ago me and friends of mine decidet du got into some action on the german island called Rügen there is on a peninsula called "Bug" an abandoned military harbour witch we plan to squat and having a great pirate harbour called "Neu Nassau" we planed on squatting or maybe if we won´t got the capacity just to go there and see what will happen with as many sailboats as possible, from modern yachts to tradition ships sailboatpunks and outlaws of the seven seas were called to gather with streetartists, road travelers and locals because we tryed to get everyone available, in case police is fucking arround and just for having a nice time and to make the projekt more popular.

The Main Idea was to create a free and open anarchist/pirate harbour where people can live on their ships or on land in trailers or treehouses or however they like, there is supposed to be a small d.i.y. boatyard for lowbudget maintainance and repairs, so you do not need to be some nasty ritchbitch to be able to have your own yacht.

Therefore we planed on making a festival (we came to stay) style... we thought if we will be a few dozend or maybe hundret comitzted people with capacitys knowledge and comitment than we mayb could stand a chance, because this is not a building witch you can barricade easyly, it is a wide and open area sqarekilometer size big, with (obviously ) water acces and where you can gu by road.
But even if we won´t be able to squat it seriously we want to figure out the structures of ownership behind this huge area, and this we did XD

So in the forehand we were building a raft about 120 km or 66 Nm far away for transporting hardware like building materials and band equipment to that island so we went with our boats to the buildingspot in Wolgast we had support from anarchist handyman mostly from germany but from austria and spain as well. So we anchored out in the bays and living there on our boats as usual and during the day we went onshore and built the raft as fest as possible because the local authoritys were fucking arround and try to stop us but we where not breaking any laws there so they could´nt do anything about is as long as we stayed working XD

After one week we finished our raft and started the yourney to our destination, we had a sail on the raft and a beer basement a power generator and party lights and a sound system whitch was amazing after 48 hours of nonstop Sailing, anchoring drinking beer fucking arround and beeing totaly high on our adventure we finaly arrived and had a nice party in that abandoned harbour, we where aprox 7 boats inkluiding tha raft and 15-18 people, eventough we were much less than expected it was amazing drinking beer swimming partying dancing jumping from highspots into the water.

The group grew a bit up to maybe 25 people and we started building stuff up like food storage kitchenarea and toilets, we even started thinking of barricades, but this was the time police arrived, at first we told them we had the permit of the owner, and as long as they couldn´t proof us lying the could not doo anything but after a couple of hours they came back with some weird administrator af that area who cikked us out, we where not nearly enough people at that moment and had no infrastructure to defendour selves in battle against the onslaught of 20-30 cops so we just set the sails and went a few hundret meters further and put all our boats togather in one big boatraft and had our party there anchoring ot for one week and on the beatch near by, but also there where mnayby just 40 people, and we knew that thousands of people all over the country and all over europe got to know about that party and that projekt but didn´t showed up there.

So now we are a circle of a few comitted people and we are still planing on getting hold on that area as a homebase for all that anarchist punk pirates out there who want to rest or maybe get settled down a bit.
Now we are writing concepts and gathering ideas and conections for possibilitys to maybe rent it or buy it or get into a legal greyzone.

And the raft war amazing it was 8 meters long and 6 meters wide we had an underwater beer storage and a drumsetup in the front where you could sit next to the generator right over the beerstoragehatch on a 30 liter filled petrolcanister and play madmax style drumsolos and drinking beer and just get a feeling what a piratelife is about.

Hey there! I know of a former collective turned squat called Floating City in Copenhagen that I'm well connected with that has 3 large pirate permaculture boats from recycled materials that no one is living in. They're not seaworthy really as far as I know. And the one person left after the collective dispersed is trying to save them right now is a bit stressed out with what to do because they're getting evicted from where they're docked and they don't know what to do. I know she would really love to see them go to a good cause and is worried what the city will do or who to give them to.
