Hey there folks. My name is Anthony. I'm 22 years old. Currently I work full time and I'm about to end my contract in September. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, throughout half of my life I lived in another country. I was thinking once my contract ends I will walk from Toronto to the american border and go to Buffalo. From there, I would have to think where to go.

That's a pretty long walk! Remember to take tons of water and not pack too heavy, especially if you plan on walking similar distances in the future. Hitchhiking is pretty easy in NY so I would take advantage of that going from Buffalo. Good luck on your trip!

Ahaha, that attitude will end up with you dead if you're on the road, hate to break it to you. Always try to keep at least a gallon on hand. I've walked pretty similar amounts actually, it's not so hard if you don't pack too heavy and you're reasonably fit. Plan on everything taking as long as it possibly could, all kinds of things can and will slow you down, make you backtrack, and even pull you in the wrong direction! Be careful, and do lots of research before you leave. But also remember that no matter how much you read actually being on the road is totally different.

The waterfront trail from Toronto to Niagara is pretty nice - I rode that leg last fall. Walking would take at least a couple days, but there's some great beaches that looked very chill to camp down on by the water. Or if you change your mind, you can always get a $5 megabus ticket straight to DT Buffalo! Happy travelling dude
