Hello. My name used to be Skylar.
I am 21.
I used to live in Oregon before I became a street cat. I only lived there for a year or 2 before I got kicked out. I grew up in Orange County my whole life though. All my friends are here, well used to be here. I got depressed in Oregon and started sleeping all day due to opiates. When I got sent back down here, I felt guilty cuz I wanted to come back here to see my brother and old friends. People have either disappeared, started using drugs, or became conformists. Anyways, only 3 people remain my friends, what I call my team. My big brother is not one of them. He is 18 months older than me and we used to be tight friends. Most old friends including my brother, have become Meth slaves. I beat up my brothers tweaked friend for dumping out my beer. It's that dumb of a reason why my brother is salt to me now.
It doesn't upset me. No. Being sober upsets me. And having a plan helps calm me. I'm going back up to Oregon. Mom will let me. I just want to save my money after sucking corporate dick (working a job) for a few months. Once I get some money together, I want to travel around and be a national hobo instead of a state-bound one.
On my way down here to Cali on a train, I lost EVERYTHING I have ever owned. All my clothes and keepsakes are gone. I wound up stranded in Oakland for a bit before making it to Orange County. I learned I don't want many possessions to worry about and that I prefer to be jobless and broke as long as I can access food (ebt), alcohol, and the occasional bummed cigarette. Realizing I no longer need a roof over my head, I began to dream about being a travelling man that is owned by no job or rules in general. I realized this after sleeping under a bridge for a few months. At first it was scary, but now when it comes to bed time and one of my hybrid-friends, or even my real friends, and they offer me a place to sleep, I decline. I get insomnia when I accept their offer. I feel very at peace with the world when I lay under my bridge to sleep. I doze off effortlessly and have fantastic dreams at night.
Uhh, yeah that's my life. Oh and I found this site while charging my battery at Starbucks as I browsed the internet to check if I could buy mouthwash on ebt. I still dunno if I can but learned about lemon extract and was reminded of canola extract. Anyways, this is the first cloudy day I have seen in months. I love it. I just need some alcohol to really enjoy it and so for now, I am off to Ralph's to go construct my hobo cocktail. I'll be back at Starbucks in a few hours with my booze to read more of this web site. I was feeling alone and stressed out earlier, but this site reminds me I really am not alone.
