I have been mostly lurking here. Think i might as well do one of these introduction posts. Got out of public alternative highschool last year (the school was at a fucking police station) and have spent most of my time since wandering in the blue ridge mountains. prefer nature to society most of the time but im not a ludite or primitivist. generally alone and i sleepwalk often so nights an... "adventure". I hitchhike short distances when I need to but hitchhiking is not so cool to me. I got in a gondola car on the GNRR short line once, so not I'm not exactly traincore crusty whoever. and im not a rainbow either.
I was an unpaid apprentice to a resonator-guitarmaker/repairman durring my last year of high-school so i can work on instruments ok. repairing then reselling a broken instrument is a good way to make $! I like making simple instruments by hand with found and discarded materials, and modifying existing instruments. travel with a small two string fiddle made from a little pine box, a section of a shovel handle and some bits of oak, rosewood and bone. if anyone has interest in diy luthiery i could write a good post in the musical instruments section.
