Hello all,

I've been lurking on here for a couple weeks, trying to get a feel for this place and deciding where I want to go with my life. I'm starting to get a pretty strong wanderlust, and strongly considering hitting the road. My major hangups right now are my cat and my job. I don't want to leave my cat behind. As for my job, I love what I do (mechanic), but I hate 9-5 grind and stressing about hours. I have a feeling I'm going to end up quitting and hitting the road spring time.

Valkyrie

PS, if anyone's looking for a good squat in along the outer edges of the Seattle area I know a good one that recently opened up. Pm me if you're interested.

Welcome to STP! Some people here leave for a while (where they were living) and entrust family with furry friend and take off for a bit and then come back - sometimes picking up the old job - make more money and take off again. Other people have traveled with their cats - but cats were trained from early on - not sure if they were in a cage or in a cage as they were rubbertramping or not. Check out the furry nomad forum for some info there.

Yeah, that could be fun. Sadly I'm a touch busy at the moment, being run out of where you live is no good. I should be fine week after next though. Unless of course you wanna come out to gold bar and squat here. Nothing would piss this guy off more.

As for teaching you how to fix cars, that's a pretty broad topic. I mean I can point you in the direction you need to go with specific complaints, and I can teach you basic stuff, but in general a mechanical aptitude will go a long way towards fixing cars in general. A good set of tools helps too.

for sure, i was thinking more just a friendly chat in person if we were ever to meet up; you don't have to build an online course for me :p
