well, now that's an intro! welcome to StP! it's great to see you're getting/have gotten yourself together and are on a more productive path. congrats! maybe sometime you could post some of your thoughts on how theravada buddhism brought you back to traveling? sounds like it would make for a good read.My apologies. My name is joe from the west side of clevo. I did a lot of traveling in my youth, mostly just partying on your. Got lost in serious substance abuse early on. Was homeless on the street strung out, or incarcerated for the better half of my twenties. Took me eleven years of getting my life together physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to kind of get back on the path that always interested me. Hard and weird to explain but getting into Theravada Buddhism somehow got me into traveling again more which then got me into this. Not sure how to best describe that. I feel as though I am becoming too aware to continue to fit in the cookie cutter American dream life experience. Not always sure how to explain things best, so I usually keep it short.
Hopefully someday yes. I feel like the travel, and a lot of the activity leading up to it, puts me in a more productive frame of mind. Which fuels the ability to think more clearly, or meditate more or more thoroughly. So the two kind of fuel each other? My words fail to describe the feelings still but definitely looking forward to exploring more. Thank you.well, now that's an intro! welcome to StP! it's great to see you're getting/have gotten yourself together and are on a more productive path. congrats! maybe sometime you could post some of your thoughts on how theravada buddhism brought you back to traveling? sounds like it would make for a good read.
