Hey all,
I joined on with stp a while ago but haven't really had the time or energy to contribute to it- so here goes!
I'm a young lady currently residing in Portland, Oregon- I work, live, and volunteer a lot. I basically joined onto this site cuz it can be an amazing resource- but my lack of internet skills makes navigating this site a little difficult- but I'm working on it!
I'm really interested in traveling (I leave town as often as I can- usually the bay or Seattle), creating community, cooking (vegan), and balancing my working-renting life with my traveling-anarcho-punk life. I spend a lot of time thinking about: consent, open communication, respect, equal rights for all genders, alcohol and its rule in alternative culture, squatting (a recent obsession), and infoshops/community resources.
I volunteer at a community radio station and have for 7 years- so I spend a lot of time learning about interesting stuff going on and how to report on it via radio. I also spend a lot of time helping youth in the area get involved in radio.
I have been part-time trying to learn Spanish and would appreciate help practicing- maybe letter writing?
I'm a super busy person who takes on too much and forgets to sleep- but I have a lot of fun doing it!
Guess that's about it- feel free to get ahold of me if you wanna discuss stuff or do something fun. I'm probably not a good person for travel-buddying with since I don't get to leave town that often- but we can always dream about it!
