Hello out there brave people of the world! I'm new to this wonderful site (seems like a nice place), but not quite a stranger to the road. The past two years I've been paying rent (that'll change soon enough), but before that I had hitched from LA to Florida. I miss it, and I've finally convinced my long time gf to hit the road with me, rubber tramping this time. I'm going to go work the cannery business in Alaska to come up with money for a car and gear. We plan on leaving from Seattle and dumpster diving, busking, odd working, and rock climbing our way to Florida when I return from Alaska. Idk if i'll ever be able to stop traveling after I start again, and it'll be nice to bring company this time. Hopefully I'll meet a few of you on the road, and be able to help or be helped along the way. the world is a beautiful place, filled with beautiful people. In the mean time i'll be here feeling my way around the place, listening to my modest mouse. Don't mind me. Enjoy the planet fellow freedom seekers.

Ok so me and mine have a car. we weren't gona use it unless we found more people to pitch for gas. Other than that we aren't road ready and don't have enough to do it alone

I thinks it's pretty easy to find people to help with gas in exchange for a ride. i'd just rather bring the car this time, I found it really hard to enjoy a lot of National Parks hitchhiking. Plus alot of the rocks I'm trying to get to are off road. Plus I really want to find work in the outdoor industry and need all of my gear. It's going to be an adventure for sure
