im sam, 20 years old, studying environmental studies/anthropology in university, and trying to take to the road and get to know new places and people whenever i can. im currently in atlanta, but hoping to head out west to california sometime in the next week (maybe stopping in some spots along the way). if anyone else is in atlanta or passing through, and wants to do some hitching and/or train-hopping together, i'd love a travel companion (especially for the rails--anyone want to be my teacher?)

And happy wandering to you as well and welcome to STP! You might want to post this in to the Road Dawgs subforum for people looking for traveling friends. Craigslist (as was mentioned earlier) is an option as well as looking more in internet - there are also facebook groups for travelers too - search for dirty kids or hitchhiking etc. Good luck
