Hey hi hello

Just thought I'd test the waters. My name is Scott, codename Thumbz. Lately, I make musik, program, spin fire...
I like mountains and wish that I could find a big city built up high somewhere, rather than always in a valley or on the coast.
Umm.. the reason I felt I should join this group is that I'm volunteering at a Festival this summer which is about 12 hours driving south of here and I have no car, nor do I really want one. Rather, I'd like to try my hand at train hopping. I guess it's not really out of necessity as I could just not go to this festival, or I could hitch hike.. but life's to short not to experiment.
Btw, I haven't done any searching yet, but if there are any links you really feel I need to see, it would be much appreciated.
Also, I fantasize over making friends with many of you and hopefully creating some gem moments.

EDIT: Oh! And this site is amazingly beautiful. I'm not sure if was built ground up or using an API or what, but phenomenally well done! If you ever decide you need a coder, I'd love to work with a project like this.

where is this festival, and where are you starting from? these two factors will weigh in heavily on whether you'll be able to ride a train there or not
