Here is my trusty solar setup. At full charge 12@70ah or 24v@35ah

2 Duracell Ultra Deepcycle 12v 35ah
1 Sunsaver 12v -6 Solar Controller
1 400 2amp Panel
1 400 watt inverter 2 plugs


I run my laptop fan and 2 cell phones off it for 3 days

What is the cost to put that together?

Was free for me...but the batteries are $100 apiece. Solar Controller $100 And panel $375. $575.00.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I've been looking into different solar set ups and this seems like a good one to try and model off of. You really can find all sorts of things on the side of the road.

my advice would be to use REAL battery connectors instead of wrapping wire around battery poles (wire from an extension cord no less) with duct tape. without connectors that's an electrical fire waiting to happen.
