Hello from Columbus!

Hey guys! My name's Barry, and I'm a young college burnout who's just trying to figure out what I want my future to look like. In about a week, I'll be riding from Columbus to the outskirts of Chicago to start my soul-searching journey. I'll be travelling with my trusty sidekick Stella, a one year old German Shepherd/Labrador mix. We'll primarily be hitching and hiking, but there may be some hopping involved later on. I'm still working on introducing the pup to trains so she doesn't freak out.

I'm a jack of all trades, with an ever growing list of hobbies. Everything from soap making to beer brewing to stand up comedy. I love to cook, but I still have a lot to learn. Urban exploring is another recent hobby. I'll be posting some cool spots from Ohio in the Urban Exploration section, so keep an eye out for that!

Introductions are tough, so I'll leave it at that for now. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll do my best to answer
 
Welcome to STP, Barry. We have great pointers about introducing k9's into the train world, so be sure to skim around and take notes.
 
Welcome to STP! My bf just got back to NY from Columbus where he grew up. ooooo and do check out our many sub forums - especially the urban explore :) A favorite of mine :) I'm getting ready to fly to Tampa and am looking for places there now to explore. Anyway - welcome!
 
Yo dude, I'm a bit south of you housed up and working. If you need any gear and think you can make it down here, I'll give you a hot meal (warning: hot meal will be vegan) and any gear I have and don't need in the near future. (Planning on replacing some things before my next trip anyway)
