I am tired of the society i am in. Income seems like a chain, and I can't help but throw it off. I have no car, and soon no home. I am selling what I have and chucking the rest. I do not have a destination in mind, but the seasons say head south. Slab City seems interesting, maybe there.

Anyway, does anyone have any tips/tricks to share? Should I hitch or trainhop? What are the best ways to find a road dog? How about food and water? Thanks in advance, peace and love to you all.

I love hitching. My advise is to never be afraid to turn down a ride if it doesn't feel right. And for finding a. Road dog, we have a whole section here for it. welcome to StP friend.

Exactly what I was gonna say.

I also find hitching to be much more rewarding when I stay away from big cities and interstates. Areas that are more rural seem to have people who are more genuine. Plus there is a lot more crime and LEOs in heavily populated areas.
