Hi there folks! I'm from South Africa and after an extremely shitty a day heavy two years I decided to get away from it all for a few months and to hitchhike across the United States.
My preliminary plan is LA to Seattle then to Minneapolis (via Deadwood) then to Boston and finally NYC to go meet up with my dad (who I haven't seen since my mom's funeral in March). Backpack is packed. Got my tent and sleeping bag. Leaving for LA next Wednesday and staying get with some friends there for a few days before setting off.
Any advice? Tips? Places to see/avoid? All suggestions are welcome.
