Getting back on the road

Hello, I am getting ready to travel again after 2 years stuck. This will be my first time hiking across the country on foot. I used to drive a skoolie but the head gaskets blew and now I am without wheels. Any info would be great I will be traveling with my dog. Thanks and good to meet you all on this platform.
