not sure how I haven't run across this site before, but i'm glad I did. i'm about to leave town for warmer westerly climates in about a week; it's my first real solo trip w/out the aid of a greyhound (since I have a cat).
my roaddog backed out due to finance snafus, so i was starting to get nervous and confused. but just looking around here for an hour has gotten me excited to get going again.
anyway, sweet website
happy travels

road dog smoad hog....hit the rod and you'll be fine...that kitty will keep ya company....
Warmer West? Maybe by a bit, but eastern Oregon and Washington get cold and snow too, that's high desert out there....Western part of both states is wet...been wet and chilly here for about a week now....just be prepared...to get warm you gotta go to San Diego or some such

Welcome kyew; southwest would be ideal now if your looking for warmth. You currently in Montana? Yeah, my brother just left out to Arizona about a month ago, he tells me it's ideal right now. Just make some effort to get out there before the colder weather and elements set in, just easier to find rides. May I suggest looking on your local craigslist site under services or community, people often offer rides for a small fee or just company while they head out of state. Just use discretion, peace on your journeys...

It gets cold in Arizona too, that's the desert. Deserts are a place of extremes...hot in the dy...cold at night....there are very few places you can go in Winter where it won't be atleast chilly in the nighttime...even Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc.
The coastal areas are a bit different climate though..

yeah i'm thinking that staying on the coast til december/january and then beelining towards southern texas is my best bet for not being wet and frozen

ah yes! that was it! great bar, met lots of cool folks there. i worked for DNC in the main warehouse in West Yellowston, MT. Great job, pay was mediocre, but i didn't have to deal with the public and the job was super easy.

Ahh, South Texas. It does stay decently warm down there...humid all year round. Watch out for stray dogs! I love Texas! As soon as I get that fine knocked off I can go back..
