Hey guys and gals,
my name is Harry and I'm currently living UK. I am a videographer, photographer and extreme sports enthusiast who is lucky to have already had the wonderful experience of living in Thailand teaching kitesurfing living the dream. HOWEVER the time came where I was to return home to graduate from University. Since then I have booked and cancelled my one way flight back to paradise on account of a job offer...
I know this idea grasping your dreams of travelling, throwing yourself into the unknown and living in paradise to then temporarily drop it for a job can often give people the sense that I'm giving up passion for money.....
This is not the case, and believe me it has taken its toll on my mind.

I work for an extreme sports shop specialising in a huge variety of sports including one I am specifically passionate about; Kitesurfing. I can now happily say that I am a Kitesurfer, Wakeboarder, Skateboarder, Snowboarder, BMX'er, Surfer, Paddleboader, Mountain boarder, Longboarder with industry skills such as photography and videography lead from a full educational and industry background. I am also a fully qualified Kitesurf instructor (BKSA) and mountain board instructor with a broad knowledge of the industries that my shop deals with.

I took this job for the experience to better my future travel plans, so far my experience and skill sets have over doubled in the year since I started HOWEVER I feel as though the time to travel needs to happen before my love for it disappears. So I have set myself a target for July to August 2016 to disappear which concludes me to my first question for you guys:
Are there any Photographer/ Videographer threads you would recommend in regards to transporting your equipment on your travels as presumably its a fair amount of weight to carry?
Annddd... just another quick question:
Are there any threads you would recommend for sport enthusiasts looking to travel (and potentially earn) and ride as you go?

Nice to meet you all!
Thanks
Harry

Always do what makes you happy. I don't see how your love of travel can disappear, hell I have been traveling for years and still love it. As far as carrying so much stuff, not sure how you travel, hopefully you may need a van. As far as any threads for sports enthusiasts just google it.

I can't think of any specific threads off the top of my head but in the top right hand corner of the page is the little magnifying glass thingy you can use to search for useful stuff. Hopefully you'll find some good info, maybe check out the gear/equipment section. if I come across anything relevant i'll link it to you.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your plans. ;)
