Hello all! My name is Christina. Don't have very much experience with "unconventional" traveling, just a bit of hitching around Washington, but I've spent a fair amount of time up and down the West Coast.
Finally about to go on my first real trip in a few weeks so I figured it was time to sign up so I could ask questions and the like. A buddy and I are hitching through either E. CA or Nevada, hopefully down to Arizona depending on how far we get (we only have about 10 days). I'll be posting the questions I have about that in the hitch hiking section in a bit. I've already read through most of the stuff on this site, it's time to get off the fucking computer and hit the streets!
I really wanna start riding the rails (would try to do that on this trip but my friend is a bit scared of that...we know too many people missing limbs), and have a different friend who's gonna teach me a bit on some shorter trips when we can both find the time. As I said in my profile, I seem to always be involved with too much shit in the Bay Area with too much responsibility to be able to leave for as extensive trips as I would like.
In the mean time, if anyone is in the East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley, ya know...) and needs to know of the good shows or wants to go on an adventure, hit me up! I may have already met or seen some of you guys at shows or in Berkeley if your ever in People's Park (I'm the chick that goes around handing out condoms and rigs on Mondays, if you see me holla!).
Also I live minutes away from the train yard in West Oakland, so if your stranded or bored I'm always good for a cup of coffee and a nice bowl.
