Ashamed to say this page got past me for the longest. I should start of saying that I am not a traveller, never have been, never claimed to be. At least not in the sense that travelling just for the sheer joy of it. I've traveled for school, Marines (05 -09), and now work. Lifelong punk who sees nothing wrong in it. Kind of envious as well but I know how I work and would be a horrible train ride, hopper, etc. Helped out fiscally when I could. I'm huge on conversation and believe there is too much out t here to just get go know my immediate surroundings (especially since I'm surrounding dedicated by some truly thorough hillbillies at work). I work a 28 on with 14 off schedule (deck hand on the Mississippi). I get the itch to get home while here and the itch to float while I'm home. This looks like a pretty fucking solid place to keep in touch with the world and I thoroughly look forward to being here.

Don't forget to make a thread about traveling the ol' mississip as you have indeed been traveling even though it is in the name of work.

Yes, please make a thread about your Mississippi boat life. Lots of cool people on here. Im always looking to learn and hear about other peoples journey through life.
 
Cool dude!! Welcome aboard and this and that and so ya thinking of traveling? and to where? :Personally Im heading either west or south. hehe That is so huge hehe.
 
Sure but just to avoid any confusion I may have inadvertently caused it is for work but I will still make a thread.
 
I can at least give pointers about recommended gear, habits I've learned that maybe will help those looking to just plain travel.
