Anyone got stories from Honduras?

I'll be dirtbagging it there pretty soon, taking the boat from Belize. Obviously I plan on hitting the bay islands but for budget reasons don't plan on staying there too long. I'd love to hear about experiences hitching, or the feasibility of stealth camping (done it plenty in Belize, only got my camp robbed once, by cops). I'll just be staying around the north coast but I'd be interested to hear about anywhere, especially good nature spots. Heard there were some nice mountain towns between the coast and San Pedro Sula. Anyone there now, I'll buy you a glass of gifiti in exchange for some stories.

Late here, but for future users;

If you're traveling on CA1 to Nica from El Sal or vice versa, dip down to Coylito and take the boat over to Isla De Tiger. If ya climb the volcano ya can see all three countries, views for days. Ampala is a cool, cheap, authentic town. Very few tourists. Lots to explore.
