Hi, I'm Frozen. I took the name cuz I'm where it's super fucking cold, and the original name I wanted to use was taken, not because of some Disney cartoon bullshit.

Anyhow, I found this place by randomly googling the one user I could remember from a hitching forum, TheWindAndRain.

I'm from wherever, but mostly Tacoma. I got a job in Prudhoe Bay Alaska back in January, after 3 weeks I was in Fairbanks just hanging. Whoops. the money was good and free chow but the work environment was super straight.

I stayed in Fairbanks til the end of May and came to where I'm at now, Barrow fucking Alaska after hearing some dudes talking about the money to be made. I work my ass off at multiple part time jobs that all pay good and I get a room for free but there's literally nothing to do here. Just saving money for the first time in life and planning where I want to go next.

Which is going to be someplace fucking WARM.

More than a couple people winter over in Hawaii when they aren't working in Alaska.

Any work in AK must be more stimulating than jail and I can do jail standing on my head. No smoke, no booze, no problem.

Free food and a place to stay seems like a requirement for me lately.

Hook me up with that good paying job!

Welcome.

I know you're looking for someplace warm, but on your way south, it's definitely worth stopping in Yukon! Dawson City and Haines Jct are fucking awesome place to be! Then get your ass South for the heat ahah :p

P.S. Highwayman, can't believe I watched the whole thing...

Thanks all. I actually have the day off work(s) which would be cool but I have to move again...fuck. Ive accumulated a bunch of stuff which I hate. Fortunately I only have to move like 3 streets over to other temporary housing which I may be able to keep for 90 days! Its super expensive to live here and I gave my tent to some kindred spirits in Fairbanks. Theres more than a few abandoned places to crash here but as I found out the local kids will try and fuck you up if you do...Throwing rocks, bottles and trying to burn you out. At least it's 30-50 degrees everyday, not -40 like when I was in Prudhoe Bay.
