I didn't buy into the whole of your story about working the dream life in the Cayman Islands, and I was skeptical about your sob story about getting mugged in Germany. In the end I've decided I believe you on the latter, though I'm sure it happened longer ago than you admit -- forgive me but you seemed a little too comfortable on the road.
You said you hadn't eaten in a week; if that'd been true you wouldn't have sniffed at the dumpster food I offered you. Also you spent the two quid you had at Costa instead of on food. That's not a starving man if I've ever seen one. That's why I didn't give you money when you asked for it.
