Across America bike trail

I read another article about this and it is more than a decade away. There is really no infrastructure in Montana and Wyoming, so it would have to be built.

I also don't know why they are skipping the Katy trail in Missouri, its a 400 mile trail that is fully built.

I have also been following this one. Getting on google maps I wonder if you could bike around the missing sections one way or another. It would be nice to ride it before its open. I'm sure it will be crowded in some seasons once its done.

I really badly want to ride this trail. In order to be courteous to other users, I'd have to operate my "bicycle"(one-seater electric microcar that is pedalable) entirely under human power. But what is nice is not having to share the space with vehicles that weigh an order of magnitude or higher more than me plus my ride does. Not having cars around is a lot less harrowing.
