much appreciated, but i worked out a plane ticket to San Diego, and a greyhound from there to El Centro, so I'm good. i'd be great to see you out there though!
 
Revised plans for me.

Can only offer rides from LA (and surrounds) to Slabs. Can also do Bay Area to LA but I'm spending a couple days with mates in LA before heading to Slabs. Room for one, maybe two.

I am familiar with driving through Platteville, I mean Dubuque. I cross the Mississippi on the south side via Illinois Hwy. 35, left turn on 151 down to Iowa Hwy. 1. Zip down to Iowa City and Interstate 80. I dislike I-80. It is effecient but crowded.

I, of course, was kidding when I said the trip took 45 minutes or so. I don't have a Lear Jet or the like.

Things have changed, I don't know if I'll be headed to the Slabs or not. I'm currently stuck in Grand Island NE. A tractor-trailer on I-80 lost a steel rod off his truck at 75 mph while I was passing him at 80 mph. The rod went through my windshield and by mere inches missed stabbing me in the heart. It embedded itself in the dashboard and screwed up some electric and duct work. I'm going to be anchored here for at least a week and maybe my van will be have to be junked.

I'll post pictures when they are available.

Planning on driving from just north of Nelson, BC in late October...as long as my car holds up and I have some emergency cash behind me. Don't mind whether I take the PCH and go via the Bay Area and Los Angeles or go inland through NV/ID.

I'm leaving from the Seattle area and have pitch on gas. I'm riding alone. My schedule is pretty open as far as specific pick up days. Let me know. Are you coming back up the same way, or traveling on to a new location?
 
I'm out in Central Texas with storms on both sides. Waiting for flooding to finish before going to NM, AZ and Slabs. Hit me up.
 
So I’m in Ohio pretty close to dayton. I’d need a ride there but I’m not really sure where I’m going after. I can pitch in on gas and food. It’ll just be me and a pack

What's up, It's Stix, we met at the Jambo and rode back to Oakland together 2 years ago. Do you still have space for another rider? I got pitch on gas and can meet you in Portland whenever.

Hey just a heads up this isn't anything even CLOSE to a rainbow gathering. There is a LOT of drinking. It's a lot of fun, but maybe not the best place for a 14 year old girl or a family excursion.
