I think danner does the same thing. my pops used to be a cobbler. so I got all the equipment and tools to fix em myself. and I know Ill do it right. so thats how I do it.
my last 2 pair of boots have been a pair of the 10" logger hathorns. they break in well and quick. very sturdy. good stitching. made for wildland fire fighters. but now I have a pair of Danner flash point II's. fucking amazing boots. google it. they are rad. wildland firefighter boots again...
well I actually have Hathorn wildland explorers.

very durable. waterproofed them myself with B-6 boot seal. love em. took a minute to break em in but well worth it
