The zipper on my sleeping bag broke. And I'm leaving Wednesday morning and will be camping for the next month at least so I need to fix it asap. Anyone have any advice? I hate zippers.

What he said. It depends where you plan on going or staying for the winter. If you're far south, you probably won't freeze to death. It's never a bad idea to have warm clothes (thermals, wool socks, warm coat) just in case though.

If you don't know what it's like to be cold at night and you don't want to find out, I'd bring the 0 degree bag. Better safe than sorry.

Ask your family members if they have any extra stuff you could have. If you're cool with your family that is. If you get some money somehow find an army surplus store. They have cheaper supplies than most camping gear stores. Sleeping bag is the most important. A knife is useful, see if anyone...

Look into henna dye. I've heard very good things about that, and no chemicals.
