a train bear is just a joke we had on an older post about how it's more possible for a bear to ride a train than a derailment...nothing too secret haha

i've never rode into van cuz it scares me a little. i also hate TO so i don't really spend time there thus not haveing to leave there often. i guess i spend most of my time in the peg so that's where i'm always hopin out of. alls i know is that it's a 3 and a half day trip from To to van.

i'm planning on headin as far east as there be land after the montreal bookfair. it's fun to travel in crews but it doesn't make a ton of scene for safety or comfort.......
seven is the most i've ever traveled with. we lost two right away & then me & one of my friends got ditched while trying to hop on the fly..... and we got pulled off when there was five of us at one point. that trip was TO to van but i got ditched in swift current.

lol Its ok alot of people feel that way about boy rats, i have gotten used to it, butah id like a girl rat, less aggressive. he isnt too tough to take along, normaly naps if he isnt chewing on something haha

I don't have an exact date yet, just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. Probably sometime around April I'll be headed out of Central Pennsylvania.

I'm mostly planning on hitching. Aside from coming up with a basic route, my plans tend to consist of winging it. My overall plan is from Here -> Washington/Oregon area -> Cali -> Georgia/Alabama/Florida area -> back north, probably zig-zagging through other areas along the way if they seem interesting.

lol a puppy would be good company but yeah i understand it would cause some travel issues. i can hide my rat on buses haha. wow ive never owned a big dog

who knows where I'll be... I'm needing to head back east for a bit in march sometime. so maybe.

i just found out about this site today...and im just trying to meet up with more travelers along the way so whats up??

i never hopped out of moncton, i ended up talking to some people in halifax about it, and they told me where to go(bedford highway in halifax) and i figured it out there. I remeber passing though moncton on the train, although at the time i didnt know where i was, at i found it later on google maps, seems like it would be pretty easy, at night at least. I saw a sign named GORT, but it took me awhile to figure out where that was. Ill def keep in touch when i pass through.

also, now that i think about it, did you by chance couchsurf in halifax?, becuase i stay at someones house, the girl said she had a couple guys stay at her place that had hopped a train form the bedoford highway there, after they left her place.....there cant be THAT many people hopping those trains?
