where are you from?

I won't be at this Saturday's FNB, but most likely next Saturday.
And I was talking to Wapato about some traveling and she is finding it difficult to get away from her family this summer. I was wanting to travel this July, but she can't do it and I don't know if I want to set off without her.
We're thinking about August, but I don't know how well it will work out cause she is so tied down.

I wanted to go to Cali, like Fresno or Arcata.. it's just difficult. I also don't really have adequate gear. I am in need of a frame pack and a more compact sleeping bag, and I'm broke with no way of getting money haha
I really want to get out there though.

I think I'll get to freight hopping a little down the road. It is something I definitely want to do, just not my first time traveling - especially if I'm trying to stay close. It's crazy dangerous haha, really nerve racking.

I have no idea where I want to go just yet, and I don't know if I'd be willing to hop freight the first time. I want to stay relatively close cause I'd have to get back in order to get in school again.
Mainly I just want to get out of Washington and experience the lifestyle so I can decide if it's what I want to spend my life doing.

I'd be considered a "run-away", even though I'd be coming back to attend my last year of high school - that just means staying away from the cops haha.
I'm trying to drag my best friend with me cause by then she'll be 18 and she'll be free and we've been planning a trip together for a long time.
The only thing is that neither of us have traveled and I'd prefer if we can find some travelers to tolerate us and show us the ropes.

I don't know much about local squats though, so it'd be hard for me to help you there. Some of my friends could probably pitch in some info on places to crash. There is a couple abandos near where I live that could work.. and also my area sucks for trash if you're looking to dive. I've checked every store and they all have compactors. It's not cool.

I have a few stick and pokes, but they don't look nearly as good. I've been in need of more india ink to finish some up and add new ones. I was going to ask one of the art teachers at my school to lend me some.

I was hoping to meet some people in that time so I can travel out the summer of 2011. I'm thinking of heading to Cali, cause it would be a fairly easy trip. I know Oregon is easy to get through.
