i'm looking for a long term travel partner.. was looking at putting my camper back on the road, but that isn't happening.. not yet, anyways..

would like to talk w/ya about iceland if ya have any recent experience or contacts. welcome aboard.

With your female friend, you can probably hitch to Jacksonville pretty easily.
From there, you might try meeting some punks, perhaps they can give you info about getting a westbound freight going along the south all the way to San Diego or Los Angeles.
Or you could just hitch I-10 all the way; invest in a good fixed-blade knife and some pepper spray for the both of you, and work out a system of code words for when you're uncomfortable in any ride (but of course, you shouldn't take any ride that you're both not okay with the person/people driving).
