Has anyone ever used any type of soap tablet or wafer? I saw these advertised and there's several types.

Here's the mainline boutique company that makes them - https://earthsuds.com/

This place has soap, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap tablets, but I saw some for other hygiene purposes scattered throughout etsy and the less trusty web.

I'm going to keep looking and if I try some I'll update this thread.

Interesting. Back when i was a kid going camping we used to just bring bar soap and use it for washing everything - hair, body, dishes, clothes. Only problem is once the bar is wet it's hard to get dry again, which i guess is the problem that these tablets aim to solve. The poor man's version might be to buy bar soap and then shave or cut it into small chunks ahead of time. Not all bar soaps are created equal, so probably needs a bit experimentation either way.

When i am traveling a bit higher end with enough motels interspersed to make a difference i use those little shampoo bottles to wash everything, but lately they have been disappearing for the sake of the environment (and good thing too) so if you're in and out of accommodation seems smart to try something else. Filling baggies with gel from the pump dispenser attached to the wall ain't it. Let us know how it goes!

I like the idea of cutting up the right bar soap. Even a premium bar of soap would be more affordable... those tabs are expensive. I was hoping Europeans would weigh in because the package I saw was more like thin wafers or discs posted in a thread about hostel traveling. Maybe the right ones are cheaper?

I'm all for less plastics and disposable shit which is why this product is appealing, but everyone should always remember to put the responsibility on industry and not on your own shoulders!
