Mom and kid are holiday van dwellers.

Hi there, I just wanted to introduce myself. I outfitted my minivan like a teensy motorhome with foldout sofabed, indoor/ outdoor cooking and storage. It's super stealthy and I've taken it on the road with my kiddo a couple of times for 2- 3 weeks at a time. It's been a fantastic way to holiday! I love this form of travel because it maximizes what we can do on a budget and it feels safe and free to us. I'm looking for a place to go with my girl this spring. We've been down to Cali a couple of times and that was awesome but something a bit different that still involves beaches and palm trees would be amazing.

Here are a couple photos of our setup. Looking at it makes me super happy.

Take care out there, friends!

Very nice. I found out I liked lots of areas on the East Coast, which was a total surprise. South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina. I guess it just depends on what you want to see and how much hot weather you want to put up with. Much of the south is kind of unbearable after May and easy to find free places to camp aren't that available compared to out west.

Sweet build. And I like that old school mandolin you got bacn there 😉

In working on building out a Ford E250 at the moment myself. I dont think I'll ever pay rent again.

Great to hear you are sharing this experience with your child. We need to introduce the next generation to the alternative travel/living lifestyle, because I foresee our economy being even more stacked against them, as it is aga im best us, now.

Welcome to the site. Lots of suggestions on great places to Vamp on here.
