Work for Nationals of Canada and a few other countries on 90 schengen visa

According to this article on hitchwiki http://hitchwiki.org/en/Schengen_Agreement citizens of Canada and a few other countries are legally able to work while in the country. They cite a French government website, and upon reading further, it seems that citizens of those countries are allowed into France "regardless of reason for being there."

This is true. It's all because of those countries' relationship with France. Which kinda makes me wish I was Canadian.
