it's still a bit far from november, but i'm looking at having enough time to land for 3 full days, minimum..

i need to look at possibilities of getting down on 2 or 3 weekends, beforehand..

in fact.. @EphemeralStick .. Andy, if you aren't doing too much, and if I cover gas down & back, would it be possible to make a couple of preliminary runs, in, say, september or october?

grab some cheap shit up here & stock up : )

dood - crossing fingers but thinking I'm going to be out there this year - and of course I am open to all volunteering while I'm there. :) @creature
 
I intend to be there with a pickup truck and can help out with town runs (if people want to ride in the bed), firewood, etc.

What part of slabs are people going to be around? Library?

For Setup there are:
  • Gather fire wood.
  • Town Supply Runs.
  • General Cleaning.

For during the Jamboree:
  • Kitchen Clean up Crew
  • Garbage Duty (switching out garbage bags, taking out bar trash, etc.)
  • Morning Town Run Drivers*
  • Slab City Exploration Drivers**
  • General security
  • Quick Morning Library Cleaning (Clean Quickly, Get Fed Faster!)
For after the Jamboree:
  • Kitchen Clean Up Crew
  • Garbage Haulers
  • Recycling Haulers
  • Library Deep Cleaning; sweeping, shelving, dusting, surface wiping, etc.
  • Campsite cleaners

*Morning Drivers will need to have a vehicle and leave at approximately 8am on Friday, Saturday Sunday. To avoid prolonged waiting we're asking that everyone who wants to go into town be ready to leave at 8am

Posted earlier but am closer to having my shit sorted haha.

Aiming to be in Slabs by the the 8th (maybe a couple days earlier) and am happy to help out with anything needed.

Will have a car with me too and can drive people 'round, will either have three or five spare seats...still messing around with my dodgy, basic camper convert. All sweet to do runs as well, and not sure what ya mean by "general security" but I've done a bit at DIY shows in sketchy places back home.

If I'm still around I'd be happy to help out afterwards as well, just depends on whether a mate from OC is getting a ride to/from with me.

Things have gone weird so I'll probably be around a little early.
 
Should be in El Centro sometime tomorrow morning, then take the buck bus to niland. Down to bring anything (packable,no vehicle here) from town, and help out wherever needed.
 
Yo, this have kinda gone fuckup for me and I need to fly back to my corner of the globe. Sorry to anyone that was relying on my wheels for supply runs or whatnot.

Bummed I can't make it, would have been amazing meeting you all.
