Unless for some nostalgic reason you feel the need to carry a incredibly outdated pack system, there is really no reason to toss yer belongings into a hankie tied to the end of a stick.

Some interesting content out there about how to make a bindle and what to carry in it, but I think I will have to pass. Will stick with more standard backpack option.

I do it as a last resort. I have a 42X42 bandana i use that for when its not around my neck

I'm here to pile on. There are a lot of good and cheep backpacks in the world. I worry that around mile 10 or 20 you would be hating your life.

good for secondary storage for food not much else. when not using you can convert to walking stick
