Berkeley too. Where are good places to spange? NO FREEWAYS/INTERSECTIONS, even if I won't get arrested, I'm terrified of cops.

I might be going tonight, because fuck LA and fuck every human being I've met here, but I don't want to have zero money. I'm probably going to mostly kick it in Fisherman's Wharf.

Pretty much anywhere in SF will be universally bad, it's an insane amount of competition. Your best bet is probably to head over to the Castro, which will have likeminded people who may have some extra sympathy toward you.

Heh, never thought about that. Totally forgot the Castro existed, actually. What's it like there at night, as in is it safe?

And could you give me any recommendations where to spange there? Like a street with a lot of foot traffic. (Castro Street south of 17th looks a lot like the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, which is where I spange now.)

Never really hung out there, but the street to be on is Castro.

I feel like that was a dumb question. Where to spange there, I mean.

What are the rules for spanging on a commercial drag like that? Here in Santa Monica you can post up anywhere along the promenade as long as you're not in the way, and for some reason you can't sit down with your sign.

Same. A lot of cities have set up sit/lie ordinances, and San Francisco is one of them.

It's weird because you can sit at the entrance to the pier. And you can sit on the Promenade, just not w your sign.

But anyways, thanks.

right in front of the walgreens on the main strip in castro used to be good. i know it's changed since when i was there last. now they have sit ordinances i think

You cant sit/lie between the hours of 6am - 11pm (if i remember the hours correctly)
Castro can be iffy for spange, not terrrrible. Stand in front of the clubs.
Like Dameon said tho, a lot of competition so a lot of the same people are at the same spots which are usually the best spots.
I found it to be safe at night, thats where I slept.
Haight st- too much competition, groups of kids on every block. You’ll be standing for hours.

Can I still spange as long as I'm standing? Dumb question, but I want to make sure.

How is Castro compared to the Third Street Promenade, in terms of blownupness? I make p good money there.

also try taking bart to a different part of bay and figure out where is safe to spange. Last time i was in berkley i met several people who did daily trips to shopping centers in el cerrito and did exceptionally well. kick downs etc without having to fly a sign

Yes you can spange if your standing.

Castro is really only poppin on like 2 blocks. Theres several people on each side of the block spaced out only by like a couple feet. very crowded.

another vote for The Castro

near the Orphan Andy's

Castro and Market (17th intersects as well)
