There’s plenty of well known caves to visit in western/south-central Kentucky if that’s your thing. Otherwise there’s not much I’d call noteworthy. I’m also a bit biased against my home state. I’m actually in bowling green right now.

the red river gorge area is pretty fun if you enjoy hiking or climbing. its in about a 45 minute drive south east of Lexington.

Up around central city there are some great dirt roads back in a nature preserve that are real fun mudding through.

The ol lady and I just left a $3 a night per person camp site not far from the red river gorge park hiked up to devils gulch was a nice adventure.
