Would that happen to be the train threads? Matt wanted to change how that works because a lot of people have apparently been just making one post and never coming back

Edit: I think there should be two options for being able to post in there. The first one is a certain age for your account and the second one is what Matt has in place already. For the record I voted against him doing it at all.

Someone saying if they spoke their mind they would be banned is a real good indication that they are a complete prick.

Know why the majority of people get banned from stp? For some racist/sexist/homophobic bullshit that nobody on here wants to deal with.

At the very least I appreciate the heads from the very beginning.

Get yer train info elsewhere.

When somebody literally wrote that if they said how they felt they would be banned that's kinda past me giving them any chances. Why would we want someone around having free access to the entire sites worth of collective information if they feel that way? Theres a whole internets worth of train info that doesn't require you to be a decent person to access.

I mean you're right but I'm kinda giving him the benefit of a doubt that he wouldn't have gone on with a rant like you described a few posts back. Maybe he'd have just use a lot of harsh words but ultimately not something actually ban worthy. He'd probably have caught a bunch of flak from people calling him an idiot though.

i think that's actually not a bad idea. you shoulda suggested it in the suggestion box thread about this. I'll look into it and see if this can be done (shouldn't be that hard). if you want to discuss details let's do that in the suggestion box thread.
