Oregon bound. Leaving from Ohio.

Hey there. A few friends have suggested this site to me lately as I'm intending on hitchhiking to anywhere in Oregon soon. Hopefully close to the coast. My intention is to start WWOOFing or using HelpX. I've fled the state before couch surfing with internet pals I've never encountered. Some times disastrous, some times amazing. Any tips would be appreciated as I'm ready to just leave Ohio behind again.

I hitchhiked to Eugene from Arcata; then back to Arcata. That southern quadrant of beaches is perfect. Gold Beach, Cannon Beach, Battle Rock, etc, etc. That whole coast is the place to be, all the way from Marin County to Juneau.
