Looking for a furry friend

Will be in florida soon, looking to bring along a pet to keep me company and have fun with. any leads or tips for finding a dog will help a ton! thank you!

Go to an animal shelter. Pay the fee, lie about having an address if need be. Do everything you can to keep that dog from going back to the shelter, or to another owner. Always remember, Adopt! Don't shop. Get a dog that's young and fit enough to travel on foot. If you are in a vehicle, wahoo, the possibilities are endless. Plenty of shelter dogs needing a human companion that are facing euthinasea, or dying in a cage.
