Hey everyone..

Been lurking on here off and on for the past like 8 years, had a previous account that I can't remember now. Heard through the grapevine that StP was shutting down, and I was stoked to find that it's still going.

Just saying hey and interested in getting involved in the community.
Mostly work seasonally and end up with a fair amount of free time. Trying to live mindfully in a sustainable way with some likeminded folks.
I do spend most of my time up in Alaska, but like to come down to the states to get a break from the cold sometimes!

Long term dreams include hitching down in Central/South America.

Gonna be in the states and planning to do a bit of hitching next month, got a flight into LA -- not sure where I'll go from there.. haven't spent much time in the SW, was thinking of checking out AZ/NM/TX if any folks have suggestions for cool spots to check out!

Look forward to getting to know some of ya'll

Hey! Glad you're posting. ✌️

Well, can't go wrong in Arizona, my only gripe out there is that the nicer nature spots are getting crowded but that can be a plus sometime too...

It really depends on the person, but if you're in the southwest and want to explore, hot springs can be a pretty nice little mission. Just look some up that are as close or far from civilization as you think you want to hike. My preference these days would be less people the better, but finding the back door into a spot like Orr is pretty fun too.
