Leaving Nashville?

I'm considering leaving Nashville and seeing the country. I'm recently homeless and I just feel like making a new start somewhere else. I met a righteous dude under a railway bridge here in Nashville and he suggested that I bum around the USA. Any tips on how to meet with like minded-people? I don't want to travel alone.

First you re gonna need gear. Then hire a professional sensei and be a good grasshopper

Yeah.. You're gonna at least need a good coat if you don't have a sleeping bag. Good shoes/boots and some sort of pack. Kids are always in nashville. Find them. Don't talk too much and try to leave with them. Might want to go roll around in the dirt before encountering them or they might not like you.
Or bus hitch or hop down to Chattanooga.. That's a short trip.. See how the life suits you. I'm from chatt I could give you some heads up on things.
There's at least some kids in chatt on at least a bi weekly basis.
