whats up everyone? sitting at home bored on a nice saturday. So, a couple of weekends ago a few friends & I drove to the Twin Cities for Sound Set 2016. My 5th year going & first year at the State Fair grounds. Shit was great

The show is on Sunday & me and my friends were like fuck it lets take off Thursday giving us until Monday to explore a lil around the cities.

So Thursday night we decide not to head out due to the rain & shit plus the proper drugs had not yet been acquired.

We get back on the road & still have no idea wtf we plan to do tonight. We stop at a Walmart in Tomah, WI to pick up liquor & supplies. We receive an invitation from a buddies ex-coworker who he used to fucks around with/ to to go to a "rager" at their house in Winona, MN.

Not really into that shit our group leaves behind a man on a quest & we search the area for a suitable sleeping spot.

We drive in the dark for about an hour where we find a RANDOM....miles from nowhere parking lot on the Mississippi river & set-up camp slightly drunk at 130am.

We stay up all night drinking at the fire & smokin' bud. During the night a Russian (black) guy & his British (asian) wife found our spot (445am he's tryna finda spot to get naughty) they end up being cool as shit & we share some smoke around.

The next morning we drink mimosas & retrieve our buddy from his rager. We stay at the Key Inn in MN and man wtf this shit was a pile. The air was so bad we all considered setting the tent up in the parking lot. It used to be a Days Inn but was dropped clearly. Mold on the walls & when we first got our keys, we opened up the room to find two people sleeping on the floor (not the beds?) at 230pm. lol

We all decide its probably ok to smoke in the room, so we chill for the night drinkin & smokin the hotel out tryna clear the stink out. We go out front and three drunk mother fuckers are out there askin' if we knew where the clinic was they need some clean needles ::banghead::

The next day we all ingest our drugs of choice & drink a lil, smoke a lil then headed out for Sound Set.

Sound Set has always been a blast. My first year I was young & dumb and ended up on a school bus black-out (I was the only one on the bus??) drunk which took me back to my hotel (still don't know the name of the hotel) where I broke the handle right off the fuckin' door and was pulled from under my Jeep sleeping in the parking lot by the police.. been hooked from that moment. I've settled a lil tho.

There was around 60k people there. Shit was sick. Maybe it was the E or maybe i'm getting old but the crowed was fuckin' insane. I had to get out a few time to get some space.

Thats the end of the show. 4 days of non-stop drinkin' & minor drug use and we were beat. We drove back to Madison on Monday and my job let me use a brand new Camry, we put 900miles on it, we smoked it out, drank mimosas, puked & camped in it so first order was to take it in for a good cleaning. Then went fishing again.

gotta love those randomly perfect places you find every so often looking to camp, that place on the river looks like one of those times

drugs are fun when you use them to have fun but like I say you really not missin' out on much.

& I wish I coulda got a picture of the man & wife. Lighting was issue as-well as the fact none of us bought their story at first.

that spot was dope, wish you coulda stayed there all weekend. Theres a sign that said you can camp anywhere for 14 days then you must move 500ft & cannot stay in the same place twice in one month.
