Just wanted to say howdy. I'm new to this site and im traveling from state to state by freight train. Look forward to meeting some of you along my travels and I am hoping to make new friends and connections and it would be nice to have a friend to travel with in the future. Have enjoyed the site thus far. Safe travels everyone....
 
Very cool! I like the name too MUD :) Welcome to STP. Where are you now and where you headed. There are lots of people traveling right now (ha mostly escaping the cold temps and such). :)
 
Hello Tude and thank you. I am currently in Nashville Tennessee. My plan is to head any where around the gulf or Florida. It has been getting very cold here and the nights are starting to become unbearable and miserable. Warmer weather is certainly welcomed. Any recommendations of citys futher south?
 
South you say. :D I live in NY - takes me a good 15 minutes to layer up so I can walk several blocks to go stand miserably at a bus stop for at least 10 minutes every morning. The evening picture isn't so pretty as I curse, whine and grab all the crap off me - GET OFF! Yeah winter is here.

Ha. But hopefully others will chime in here of where they like in the Southern states. I see TX and FL tossed around a lot . Either way - have fun and stay warmer than me. :D
 
Welcome man. Hows your experience of train hopping been so far? I've been really keen to give it a shot.
