I have met some of you lovely people at the library in the Slabs! Looking forward to learning more about this place and ya'll, and hopefully I can contribute rides / living space for anyone traveling through Downtown Los Angeles.

Frequent trips to the middle of nowhere, desert, to investigate meteor impact sites, mines, ghost towns, Anomalies on Google earth.

Also very much fixated on urban decay, and ninja / engineering into abandoned and active locations, with a focused interest in underground infrastructure. Let's do some sneaking!

Some photos for your enjoyment!

That second pic is amazing, what is all that stuff down there? Why's there an opening in the top? That the sewers as well I assume?

That is a nuclear-hardened dome for a supercomputer that ran many of the functions of an underground nuclear missile facility.

That base could run completely sealed for 60 days fully staffed, and far longer with a skeleton crew.

Whats cool about nuclear hardened structures is they are built with springs under everything, so the building is constantly shaking while absorbing shocks. really strange sensation while you are, uhm, not in a normal state lol.

And the opening at the top is where they used a crane to hoist the huge components out, also the place to repel into it :P
