every train has a designated number/letter combination....different ways of naming specific trains for different companies... google "train symbols"..... ya know, what are they?....what do they mean.....google "railfan websites"/.... and like derek said read read read.......go on train company websites and look for their routes........ ask on a railfan website this same question....not that i/us arent knowledgeable about these things but railfans are usually obsessive dorks who could name the model and date of manufacture of any train engine you show em a picture of....google "new orleans railfanning" or type somethin like that in on youtbe....usually youtube videos of trains will say the "symbol" of that train in the description..........or if you wanna go left, wait for something to stop facing your left....same if you wanna go right........my suggestion is to go straight UP! to the cosmos on the magic schoolbus deadhead festie train........
