my name is ember; i'm a 25 year old transgender soon-to-be-full-time transient — my family is kicking me out — with severe mental illness. i've travelled on and off for about 5 years, via hitchhiking, ridesharing, public transportation and RV, but never for longer than 2 months at a time. i've recently acquired a small travel trailer and plan to journey between farms, parks and intentional communities with my dog Rockman. i'm not sure yet how i'm going to procure fiat printer papers to get around or the motivation to . . . keep going — i'm hoping to get ideas from these forums and possibly find a travelling companion

thanks for reading my introduction — i'm a fairly private person so i probably won't post a lot

Howdy Ember, welcome to Squat the Planet and thanks for posting your intro. There's a lot of great info and resources here to avail yourself of and in general we're a pretty friendly bunch so if after searching and reading thru what others have already posted and discussed you still have questions or want to discuss something further, please post or PM away.

I hear ya on the kicking out stuff. Diff situations and I ended up in the military for a stint... But sucks when family does that.
